If you were enrolled in a Streamlabs Pro automatic renewal subscription after adding a GIF or effect to your donation between March 3, 2018, and May 17, 2022, you may be eligible to claim a refund from a class action settlement.
Streamlabs, LLC has agreed to pay $4,400,000 to settle a class action lawsuit for allegedly deceiving consumers into signing up for a subscription product, Streamlabs Pro, that automatically renews monthly.
The lawsuit claims that Streamlabs violated California consumer laws by not clearly disclosing the automatic renewal terms of its subscription service.
Who can file a claim?
To be eligible to file a claim, you must meet the following criteria:
- You were enrolled in a Streamlabs Pro automatic renewal subscription in the United States during the period from March 3, 2018, to May 17, 2022.
- You were billed a monthly fee for the subscription after your first charge for the initial GIF or effect.
How much can class members get?
Class members who file a valid claim will receive a pro-rata share of the "Net Settlement Fund". This is based on the number of monthly payments made during the class period, excluding the initial enrollment fee, and less any refunds already received.
Is proof required to submit a claim?
Yes, claimants need to provide proof of their enrollment in the Streamlabs Pro subscription and the number of monthly payments made. Claimants must provide the email address associated with their Streamlabs Pro subscription during the class period and specify the number of monthly renewal payments made that were not refunded.
