One World Ticket Fee $975,000 Class Action Settlement

If you purchased electronic tickets to One World Observatory between August 29, 2022, and November 6, 2024, and paid a fee in connection with such purchase, you may be eligible to claim a portion of a $975,000 class action settlement.

Legends OWO, LLC has agreed to pay this amount to settle a class action lawsuit for allegedly failing to properly disclose a fee for electronic tickets to its One World Observatory, in violation of New York Arts and Cultural Affairs Law § 25.07(4).

Who can claim a payout?

To be part of the settlement class:

• You purchased electronic tickets to One World Observatory
• You paid a processing fee in connection with the purchase
• The purchase was made from their website between August 29, 2022, and November 6, 2024

How much is the payout per person?

Class members are eligible to receive a pro rata share of the Settlement Fund, which is based on the total amount of fees they paid. The exact amount each class member will receive depends on the total number of valid claims submitted and the total fees paid by each claimant.

Pro Rata Calculation Example

If the total settlement fund is $975,000 and the total fees paid by all claimants amount to $500,000, each claimant would receive a percentage of the settlement fund equivalent to the percentage of the total fees they paid.

For example, if a claimant paid $5 in fees, they would receive 1% of the settlement fund allocated for distribution to class members.

How to claim a payout

Class members must complete and submit a Claim Form by April 21, 2025. You can file a claim online or download a PDF claim form to mail.

$975,000 Settlement Fund

The settlement fund of $975,000 will cover payments to class members, administrative costs, attorneys’ fees, and an incentive award to the class representative.

When is the One World Ticket Fee Settlement payout date?

The court will hold a Final Approval Hearing on March 7, 2025, to determine the fairness of the settlement. If approved, payments will be distributed to eligible class members no later than 90 days after the final judgment.
