Leonard’s Express, Inc. has agreed to pay $325,000 to settle a class action lawsuit alleging that the company was responsible for a cybersecurity incident involving unauthorized access to its systems, in which former and current employee information was potentially compromised.
Who can file a data breach claim?
You are a class member if:
- You currently reside in the United States and are current or former Leonard’s Express employee.
- You received a written notification from Leonard’s Express, Inc. on or around June 17, 2024, indicating that your personal information might have been involved in the cybersecurity incident.
How much will the data breach payment be?
Class members can claim one or more of the following:
- Credit Monitoring Services: You can claim one year of free credit monitoring protection services.
- Payment for Unreimbursed Out-of-Pocket Expenses: You can submit for up to $650 of unreimbursed expenses traceable to the data breach such as bank or credit card fees, professional fees, and freezing/unfreezing of credit.
- Alternative Cash Payment: Class members who do not to claim out-of-pocket expenses or credit monitoring can submit for a one-time alternative cash payment of $29.
How to claim a class action settlement payout
To receive a class action rebate, class members must submit a claim form by the July 3, 2025 deadline. You can file a claim online or download and print the PDF claim form and mail it to the settlement administrator.
