IGK Dry Shampoo Settles Benzene Contamination Class Action

What Awards Can Class Members Claim?

Under the Settlement, each Settlement Class Member who purchased an IGK Product and files a Valid Claim will be entitled to a cash payment. The amount depends on whether there is Proof of Purchase.

If Proof of Purchase is submitted, the cash payment will be for the full purchase price for as many IGK Products purchased and identified on the Claim Form. Settlement Class Members who do not have Proof of Purchase will be entitled to $4.00 for each IGK Product purchased, for a maximum of five products claimed.

• Without Proof of Purchase: $4.00 per IGK Product, up to five products

There may be a pro rata reduction to each Settlement Class Member’s cash payment depending on the total amount of dollars calculated for Valid Claims in comparison to the $850,000 Settlement Fund.

For example, if the total amount of Valid Claims exceeds the $850,000 Settlement Fund, each claim will be reduced proportionately. If the total Valid Claims amount to $1,000,000, each claim would be reduced by 15% ($850,000 / $1,000,000 = 0.85).

Is Proof Required to Claim the Reward?

Yes, proof is required if you want to claim the full purchase price of the IGK Products.

If you do not have Proof of Purchase, you can still claim up to $4.00 per IGK Product, for a maximum of five products, by attesting to your purchase.
