If you are a resident of the United States whose private information was impacted by a cybersecurity incident involving Generational Equity in February 2023, you may be eligible to claim up to $3,500 from a class action settlement.
Generational Equity LLC and Generational Equity Group Inc. have agreed to pay up to $275,000 to settle a class action lawsuit for alleged mishandling of private information during a cybersecurity breach.
Who can file a claim?
- Individuals must have received a notice regarding the data breach incident in February 2023
- The incident must have affected your private information
How much can class members get?
- Credit Monitoring: Two years of credit monitoring services and identity theft protection.
- Ordinary Losses: Up to $300 for documented out-of-pocket expenses.
- Lost Time: $25 per hour for up to 3 hours, capped at $75.
- Extraordinary Losses: Up to $3,500 for documented monetary losses caused by misuse of private information.
In the event that the total claims exceed $275,000, the cost of credit monitoring will be prioritized, and other claims may be prorated.

- Extraordinary Losses: Documentation of actual monetary loss.

When is the Generational Equity Settlement payout?
The court will hold a final approval hearing on December 6, 2024. If the settlement is approved, payments will be processed, and class members will receive their awards.
