On December 13, 2024, VectraRx Mail Pharmacy Services LLC, discovered unusual activity on one of their servers. This prompted an immediate investigation, revealing that an unauthorized actor may have accessed and copied sensitive data.
The breach was significant, affecting 6,081 individuals in Texas alone, with personal information such as names, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, Rx numbers, Rx information, and dates of service potentially compromised.

VectraRx took action upon discovering the breach. They engaged a specialized third-party cybersecurity firm to conduct a comprehensive investigation and determine the scope of the incident. After identifying the affected individuals, VectraRx began notifying them and offered 12 to 24 months of complimentary credit monitoring and identity theft restoration services through Identity Defense.
The company has also provided guidance on protecting against identity theft and fraud. This includes instructions on placing fraud alerts and security freezes on credit files, obtaining free credit reports, and remaining vigilant for any suspicious activity. Affected individuals are encouraged to monitor their accounts and credit reports closely.
