On April 9, 2024, Angels Neurological Centers, P.C. detected suspicious activity on their systems. An immediate investigation revealed that unauthorized actors accessed Angels’ records on limited occasions between March 3, 2024, and April 9, 2024. The investigation confirmed that the breach potentially involved personal information of individuals, although there is currently no evidence that any information has been misused for identity theft or fraud.

  • Medical record number and/or patient identification number
  • Provider or facility name
  • Medical condition, diagnosis, and/or treatment information

Upon discovering the incident, Angels Neurological Centers, P.C. took immediate steps to contain the situation. They changed passwords, proactively took systems offline, and implemented endpoint detection and response monitoring. Additionally, they notified federal law enforcement and engaged cybersecurity and privacy professionals to assist with the investigation.
