United Water $1.5M Deficient Water Service Settlement

Who is eligible to receive a United Water settlement payment?

Class members include the following:

• Individuals who are residential property owners or lessees of residential property, including household members, who were United Water System account holders at any time between February 16, 2013, and the present.
• Individuals who received water supply from United Water System during this time and experienced damages such as mental and emotional distress, non-reimbursed personal expenses, nuisance, annoyance, discomfort, inconvenience, civil trespass, fear of bodily injury, and personal property damage [1].

How much is the United Water payout?

Equal Distribution: The settlement provides a pro rata clash payment to each United Water account holder’s household as of January 30, 2025, and each claimant who is no longer an account holder of United Water but submits a valid claim form [1].

Claim instructions

• Current account United Water account holders as of January 30, 2025 who received a settlement notice in the mail are not required to submit a claim in order to receive a payment.
• If you were no longer a United Water account holder on January 30, 2025 or did not receive a settlement notice in the mail, a claim form must be submitted.

$1.5 Million Settlement fund breakout
