If you received an artificial or prerecorded voice call on your cellular telephone from Deere Credit Services, Inc. (DCSI) between February 2, 2020, and June 25, 2024, and you were not a DCSI customer or accountholder, you may be eligible to claim between $2,500 and $3,750 from a class action settlement.

Deere Credit Services, Inc. has agreed to pay $1.5 million to settle a class action lawsuit for allegedly violating the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) by using an artificial or prerecorded voice in calls made to individuals who were not its customers.

Who are the class members?

To qualify as a class member eligible to file a claim, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Received a call from Deere Credit Services, Inc.
  • The call was directed to a number assigned to a cellular telephone service.
  • You were not a customer or accountholder of Deere Credit Services, Inc.
  • The call was made between February 2, 2020, and June 25, 2024.

How much can class members get?

Class members can claim an award estimated to be between $2,500 and $3,750. The exact amount will depend on the number of valid claims submitted.

The settlement fund of $1.5 million will be distributed equally among all valid claimants after deducting notice and administration costs, attorneys' fees, and a payment to the lead plaintiff.

$1,500,000 Settlement fund breakdown

The settlement fund of $1,500,000 will cover:

  • Compensation to class members who submit valid claims.
  • Notice and administration costs.
  • Attorneys' fees, not exceeding one-third of the settlement fund.
  • Litigation costs and expenses.
  • A payment to Mr. Cornelius, the lead plaintiff, not exceeding $5,000.
