If you participated in one or more live professional UFC-promoted MMA bouts in the United States from December 16, 2010, to June 30, 2017, you may be eligible to claim between 40% and 80% of your earnings from a class action settlement.
Zuffa, LLC, the company behind the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), has agreed to pay $375,000,000 to settle a class action lawsuit for allegedly using anticompetitive conduct to suppress fighter pay.
Who are the class members?
- Individuals who participated in one or more live professional UFC-promoted MMA bouts in the United States during the Class Period.
- Excludes those who are not U.S. residents or citizens unless paid by UFC for a bout in the U.S.
How much can class members get?
Class members can claim between 40% and 80% of their total UFC earnings during the Class Period. The exact amount depends on:
- The total compensation received from UFC for bouts.
- The number of bouts fought during the Class Period.
For example, if a fighter earned $100,000 from UFC bouts, they might receive between $40,000 and $80,000.
- Compensation Based on Earnings: Fighters will receive a percentage of their total earnings from UFC bouts.
- Minimum Payout: All claimants are guaranteed a minimum of $15,000.
The settlement fund will be divided into two sub-tranches, with 70% allocated based on event compensation and 30% based on the number of bouts fought.

Why was there a class action settlement?
The lawsuit alleged that UFC engaged in anticompetitive practices to maintain market dominance, which allegedly suppressed fighter pay. UFC denies these claims but agreed to settle to avoid the costs and risks of continued litigation.
