Plymouth Tube Company has agreed to pay to settle a class action lawsuit related to allegations that the company experienced a cybersecurity breach between January 27 and January 29, 2024. The lawsuit claims that cybercriminals potentially accessed sensitive personal identifiable information (PII) and protected health information (PHI) of current and former employees, as well as their dependents.
The compromised data may include names, birth dates, driver's license numbers, Social Security numbers, health insurance details, and medical information.
Who is eligible for a data breach payout?
You are eligible to file a claim if you meet all of the following criteria:
- You live in the United States whose personal information may have been accessed in the 2024 Plymouth Tube data breach.
- You received an official notice from Plymouth Tube Company informing you that your PII and PHI may have been compromised in the cybersecurity incident that occurred between January 27 and January 29, 2024.
How much will my settlement payment be?
- Documented Out-of-Pocket Losses: Class members can claim up to $4,500 in proven financial losses that occurred due to the cybersecurity incident, Losses can include bank fees, credit monitoring or freezing/unfreezing costs, and other charges.
- Lost Time Reimbursement: Claimants can submit for up to four hours, at $22 an hour, of time lost spending dealing with the data breach. Lost time is capped at a total of $88.00.
- Credit Monitoring: Class members can receive three years of one bureau credit monitoring services and $1,000,000 in identity theft insurance.
How to claim a data breach settlement payout
To receive a class action rebate, class members must submit a claim by the deadline of June 23, 2025. You can file a claim online or download the PDF claim form to print and mail to the settlement administrator.
