Labcorp $9M Washington State Employee Settlement

If you were employed in any Laboratory Corporation of America facility in Washington State, including Pathology Associates Medical Laboratories and Dynacare, Inc., in an hourly paid position between August 30, 2020, and November 30, 2024, you may qualify to submit a claim for a class action settlement.

Laboratory Corporation of America has agreed to pay $9,000,000 to settle a class action lawsuit for alleged failure to provide meal and rest periods in compliance with Washington law. This settlement resolves claims that Labcorp did not follow state regulations regarding employee breaks.

Who qualifies for a Labcorp payment?

To be considered an eligible class member you must meet the following criteria:

• You were employed by Labcorp in Washington State any time between August 30, 2020, and November 30, 2024.
• Your position was paid on an hourly basis.

How much is the class action settlement payout?

• There will be at least $5,918,750 in settlement funds available for payments to approved claimants, after fees and expenses.
• Individual payments will be calculated based upon the claimant's total W2 wages paid by Labcorp during the settlement period.
• 50% of each claim payment will be taxed as wages.

How to claim a payment

To claim a Labcorp settlement payout, you must submit a valid claim form by May 2, 2025. You can file a claim online or download the PDF claim form and mail it to the settlement administrator.

When is the Labcorp employee settlement payout date?

The court will hold a Fairness Hearing on May 30, 2025. Payments are expected to be distributed within approximately 60 days after the judge grants approval of the settlement.
