
If you worked as an Assistant Patternmaker, Patternmaker, Designer, Assistant Designer, Sewer, Intern, or in a similar role for Yeezy Apparel LLC or Ye (formerly known as Kanye West) in California between May 6, 2017, and January 9, 2025, you may be eligible to claim compensation from a class action settlement.
Yeezy Apparel LLC and Ye have agreed to pay $625,000 to settle a class action lawsuit alleging violations of California labor laws. These allegations include failing to pay wages, not providing meal and rest breaks, failing to reimburse business expenses, and issuing inaccurate wage statements.
Who is eligible for a Yeezy settlement payment?
Class members must meet the following criteria:
- You were employed by Yeezy Apparel LLC or Ye in the state of California any time between May 6, 2017, and January 9, 2025.
- Your job title must have been Assistant Patternmaker, Patternmaker, Designer, Assistant Designer, Sewer, Intern, or a similar position.
- You must not have previously signed a general release agreement waiving your rights against Yeezy Apparel LLC or Ye.
- Employees who worked between February 4, 2020, and January 9, 2025, and are eligible for additional payments under California's Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA).
Are there are exclusions?
Employees who previously signed a general release agreement with Yeezy Apparel LLC or Ye, waiving your rights to pursue these claims, are excluded from the settlement.
How much is the class action payout?
- After deductions, the settlement provides approximately $285,687.50 to be distributed to class members.
- All participating class members will receive a pro rata cash payment, determined by the number of number of weeks employed by Yeezy Apparel or Ye.
- $18,750 of the settlement fund is for class members employed between February 4, 2020, and January 9, 2025 will receive an additional cash payment. Amounts will also determined by the number of weeks worked.
No action needed to receive a settlement payment
Class members do not need to take any action to receive a class action rebate.

Is proof required?
Class members do not need to provide any supporting documentation at this time.

A paper check will be mailed to the address on file with the Settlement Administrator.
$625,000 Yeezy class action settlement fund
The settlement fund of $625,000 will include the following expenses:
- Settlement administration costs: Up to $1,000
- Attorneys' fees: Up to $208,312.50
- Attorneys' expenses: Up to $25,000
- Service awards to each Plaintiff: Up to $15,000 each, $30,000 total
- PAGA penalties: $56,250 to LWDA, $18,750 to Aggrieved Employees, $75,000 total
- Payments to class members: Approximately $285,687.50

When is the Yeezy Apparel LLC settlement payout date?
The court will hold a Final Approval Hearing on June 11, 2025, to determine if the settlement is fair and reasonable. Payments will be issued to valid class members approximately 60 days after the judge grants final approval to the settlement.
Why was this class action lawsuit filed?
The lawsuit was filed due to allegations that Yeezy Apparel LLC and Ye violated California labor laws.
