Why is there a class action settlement?
This settlement arose because the defendants allegedly failed to comply with Washington's job posting transparency requirements. The lawsuit claimed that the defendants did not disclose wage scales or salary ranges and a general description of benefits in their job postings, which is required by state law. To avoid the costs and uncertainties of further litigation, the parties agreed to settle.
