
If you were employed by Good To Go Food in Illinois between December 13, 2014, and November 18, 2024, you may qualify to submit a claim for between $1,200 and $1,500 from a class action settlement.
Josam Acquisitions has agreed to pay $55,100 to settle a class action lawsuit for alleged violations of the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA).
Who is eligible for a BIPA payment?
Class members include the following:
- You were employed at Good To Go Food in Chicago, Illinois and were required to provide a handprint to clock in and out between December 13, 2014 and November 18, 2024.
- Subclass of Class Members without a Purported Release: Employees who have not signed a release of their BIPA rights.
- Subclass of Class Members with a Purported Release: Employees who have signed a release of their BIPA rights.
How much is the class action settlement payout?
- Subclass without a Purported Release: A calculated share of the Class Settlement Fund multiplied by 0.030, approximately $1,500, minus a proportionate share of the administration costs, service award, and attorneys’ fees.
- Subclass with a Purported Release: A calculated share of the Class Settlement Fund multiplied by 0.004, approximately $1,200, minus a proportionate share of the administration costs, service award, and attorneys’ fees.
How to claim a BIPA settlement payment
To receive a payout, a claim must be submitted by April 15, 2025. Class members can access the claim form on the settlement website. A claim can be submitted online, or the claim form can be printed and mailed to the settlement administrator.

Is proof required to submit a claim?
No, additional proof is not required. Good To Go Food has provided the administrator with current and former employee documentation.

When is the is the Good To Go Food BIPA payment date?
The court has scheduled the Fairness Hearing on May 13, 2025. Once the judge grants final approval to the settlement, payments will be issued to class members with approved claims.
