If you applied for a Front Desk/Receptionist position with Dependable Staffing Agency, Ltd. in the state of Washington between January 1, 2023, and December 31, 2023, and the job posting did not disclose the wage scale or salary range, you may be eligible to claim a payment from a class action settlement.

Dependable Staffing Agency, Ltd. has agreed to pay $115,000 to settle a class action lawsuit for allegedly failing to disclose wage scale or salary range information in Washington State job postings, which is a violation of Washington state law RCW 49.58.110.

How much is the class action payout

Claimants will receive a pro rata cash payment. Payment amount will be determined by the number of claims filed.

How to claim a class action settlement payment

To receive a class action rebate, class members must submit a valid and timely claim form and W9 form. You can file a claim online, or you can mail in the claim form you received in the mail.

$115,000 class action settlement fund

The settlement fund of $115,000 will cover the following expenses and awards:

• Settlement administration costs: Up to $10,000
• Attorneys' fees: Up to $34,500
• Attorneys' litigation expenses: Up to $5,000
• Service award to class representative: Up to $7,500
• Payments to approved claimants: Class member fund estimated to be no less than $58,000 split pro rata

When is the Dependable Staffing class action settlement payout date?

The final hearing will take place on June 13, 2025. Payments will be distributed approximately 60 days after the court grants final approval.

Why was Dependable Staffing sued?

Dependable Staffing was sued by plaintiff Amber N. Pizl for allegedly violating RCW 49.58.110, a Washington state law requiring employers to disclose wage scales or salary ranges in job postings. The lawsuit alleged that Dependable Staffing failed to include this required information in job postings for Front Desk/Receptionist positions during the year 2023.

Dependable Staffing denies these allegations but agreed to this settlement to avoid the costs of continued litigation and a trial.
