On September 17, 2024, Adkore Staffing Group detected suspicious activity within certain systems in its environment. An immediate investigation revealed that an unauthorized party accessed and acquired files from Adkore’s systems between September 11 and September 12, 2024. The company then began a thorough review of the compromised systems to determine what sensitive information may have been exposed.
By March 19, 2025, Adkore concluded that the affected files contained personal information related to residents of several states, including Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Vermont. The exposed information included names, Social Security numbers, driver’s license or state-issued identification numbers, and financial account information. This type of information is considered personally identifiable information (PII) and, if misused, could increase the risk of identity theft and financial fraud.
Written notification letters were sent to affected individuals on April 24, 2025.
After discovering the incident, Adkore Staffing Group, LLC launched an immediate investigation and engaged cybersecurity professionals to assess the scope and impact of the breach. The company also notified federal law enforcement. In response to the breach, Adkore has implemented additional security measures and is reviewing its policies and procedures to strengthen data privacy and security.
For those affected by the breach, Adkore is providing 12 months of complimentary credit monitoring and identity protection services through IDX. Impacted individuals have received written notice with instructions on how to enroll in these services. The company is also offering guidance on protecting against identity theft and fraud, including steps to place a fraud alert or credit freeze, how to obtain free credit reports, and where to report suspected identity theft.
