ZoomInfo Technologies, LLC has agreed to pay $29,557,612.50 to settle a class action lawsuit for allegedly using individuals' personal information without consent to promote its services.
The lawsuit claims that ZoomInfo violated state publicity laws by using personal details such as full names, business addresses, and job titles to advertise its subscriptions.
Who can file a claim?
To be eligible for this settlement, you must meet specific criteria based on your state of residence and the time your information was accessed on ZoomInfo.com:
- California Residents: Your name was displayed in a preview page viewed for the first time between January 9, 2020, and March 27, 2024.
- Illinois Residents: Your name was displayed in a preview page viewed for the first time between April 15, 2020, and March 27, 2024.
- Indiana Residents: Your name was displayed in a preview page viewed for the first time between March 27, 2022, and March 27, 2024.
- Nevada Residents: Your name was displayed in a preview page viewed for the first time between March 27, 2022, and March 27, 2024.
If you received a notice by mail or email, it indicates you are likely a class member.

How much can class members get?
The settlement provides different payment amounts depending on your state of residence due to varying state laws on damages:
- California: $108.43 to $216.86
- Illinois: $145.93 to $291.85
- Indiana: $740.77 to $1,481.54
- Nevada: $971.24 to $1,942.47
These amounts are estimates and may vary based on the number of valid claims submitted.
The payments will be an equal share of each state-specific settlement fund after deducting settlement expenses, attorneys' fees, and any incentive awards.
