Workit Health, Inc. has agreed to pay $578,680 to settle a class action lawsuit for allegedly disclosing personal and health-related information to third-party vendors without authorization.

Who are the class members?

To be part of the settlement class, you must meet the following criteria:

  • You used Workit Health's website or application (both web-based and mobile) for any of the following purposes:
  • Searching for medical information, services, or physicians.
  • Filling out forms or scheduling appointments.

If you meet these criteria, you are automatically included in the settlement class unless you choose to exclude yourself.

How much can class members get?

Class members who submit a valid and timely claim form may receive a pro rata cash payment from the Net Settlement Fund. The Net Settlement Fund is the amount remaining after deducting notice and administration costs, class representative service awards, and attorneys' fees and expenses from the $578,680 settlement fund.

Calculation Example: If 1,000 valid claims are submitted, the Net Settlement Fund will be divided equally among the claimants. Assuming no other deductions, each claimant might receive approximately $385. This is calculated by dividing the Net Settlement Fund by the number of valid claims.

Is proof required to submit a claim?

Claimants do not need to provide proof to claim an award. They can attest to being a class member, under penalty of perjury, when submitting their claim.
