Qualifying appliances include the following refrigerators manufactured from 2012 through 2019:

How much is the Whirlpool refrigerator settlement payment?
Class Members can submit a claim for cash reimbursements for documented out-of-pocket expenses related to Frost Clog Issues:
- 1-3 Years from Manufacture Date: Up to $300 for repairs. For replacements, 75% of the purchase price if Whirlpool was contacted first, otherwise 50%.
- 4-6 Years from Manufacture Date: Up to $225 for repairs. For replacements, 45% of the purchase price if Whirlpool was contacted first, otherwise 25%.
- 7-8 Years from Manufacture Date: Up to $150 for repairs.
Class Members who purchased a replacement refrigerator after paying for two or more Frost Clog Issue repairs can submit for the following:
- Refrigerator replaced was 1-3 Years from Manufacture Date: 75% of the new refrigerator purchase price if Whirlpool was contacted regarding Frost Clog Issues before purchase. 50% of the purchase price if Whirlpool was not contacted.
- Refrigerator replaced was 4-6 Years from Manufacture Date: 45% of the new refrigerator purchase price if Whirlpool was contacted regarding Frost Clog Issues before purchase. 25% of the purchase price if Whirlpool was not contacted.
Claimants who previously received compensation or a voluntary benefit from Whirlpool for a Frost Clog Issue, will have their approved settlement payment reduced by that amount.
Do I need to provide additional documentation with my Whirlpool settlement claim?
Required proof and documentation:
- Refrigerator model and serial number required on claim form
- Frost Clog Issue repair reimbursement claim: Proof of out-of-pocket repairs

How do I claim my Whirlpool refrigerator settlement payout?
To claim a payment for a Frost Clog Issue repair reimbursement or refrigerator replacement before that occurred before January 31, 2025, you must submit by the June 18, 2025 deadline . You can file a claim online or download the proper PDF claim form and print and mail it to the settlement administrator.
Class members have until December 31, 2028 to submit a claim for a Frost Clog Issue or refrigerator replacement that occurred after January, 31, 2025. Post-Notice claims must be submitted within 90 days of completion of appliance service, or the purchase of a new refrigerator.

When is the Whirlpool Refrigerator Settlement Payout Date?
There is a Fairness Hearing scheduled for May 13, 2025, to decide on the settlement's approval. Once the court grants final approval, claims will be processed, and payments will be issued to approved claimants.
