If you applied for a job opening in Washington with Mastercard, Applied Predictive Technologies, or Ekata, between January 1, 2023, and July 19, 2024, you may be eligible to claim at least $1,338.92 from a class action settlement.

Mastercard has agreed to pay $1,074,000 to settle a class action lawsuit for allegedly failing to disclose wage scales or salary ranges and general descriptions of benefits in their job postings, which is a violation of Washington law.

Who are the class members?

To be part of the Settlement Class, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Applied for a job opening in Washington with one or more of the Defendants between January 1, 2023, and July 19, 2024.
  • The job posting did not disclose the wage scale or salary range and/or provide a general description of benefits for the position.
  • The job posting was not for an internship position.

How much is the payout per person?

The estimated payment amount is at least $1,338.92.

Class members who submit a timely and valid claim form are eligible to receive a pro rata share of the net settlement fund. The total settlement fund is divided equally among all valid claimants.

Is proof required to submit a claim?

Proof is not applicable. The Settlement Administrator already has the information needed to verify class membership.
