Understanding Your Settlement Award

Class members who are eligible and submit valid claims can receive compensation from the $39 million settlement fund.

  • Pro Rata Share: Each claimant's share of the net settlement fund

The AccuFit System at the Heart of the Settlement

The settlement addresses claims against LensCrafters related to its AccuFit Digital System, which was marketed as being more precise than traditional fitting methods for prescription eyeglasses.

  • Alleged false or misleading statements about the system's precision
  • Claims that the system provided clearer, crisper vision

If you prefer to submit a paper claim form, it must be postmarked by the deadline and sent to the settlement administrator's address provided on the official settlement website.

Deciphering the $39 Million Settlement Fund

The $39,000,000 settlement fund was established to compensate class members and cover other costs associated with the settlement, including attorneys' fees, service awards, and administrative expenses.

The fund allocation will be determined by the court, and the amount each class member receives will depend on the number of valid claims submitted.

Behind the Scenes of the AccuFit Settlement

A lawsuit was filed against LensCrafters, claiming that the company made false or misleading statements about its AccuFit system. Although the settlement does not imply LensCrafters' wrongdoing, it aims to settle the claims without further legal proceedings. Once the settlement is approved after the fairness hearing, eligible class members who have submitted valid claims will receive their awards.
