If your personal information was potentially compromised in a data incident at Kannact on or around March 13, 2023, you may be eligible to claim compensation from a class action settlement.

Kannact, Inc. has agreed to pay $700,000 to settle a class action lawsuit for alleged negligence in data security practices.

Who are the class members?

The settlement class includes individuals in the United States whose information may have been impacted in the data incident. This includes:

• Individuals who received a notification from Kannact about the data incident.
• Approximately 109,210 current or former Kannact patients and employees.

How much can class members get?

• Cash Award: A payment from the settlement fund, calculated based on the remaining funds after other expenses.
• Documented Loss Payment: Up to $5,000 for documented out-of-pocket losses due to the data incident.
• Credit Monitoring and Insurance Services: Three years of credit monitoring with identity theft insurance.

The cash award is subject to pro rata calculations, meaning the amount depends on the number of valid claims. For example, if $300,000 remains in the fund after other expenses and 3,000 valid claims are submitted, each claimant would receive $100.
