If you paid a service fee to purchase one or more electronic tickets through the IFC Center website between August 29, 2022, and May 3, 2024, you may be eligible to claim a portion of a class action settlement.
IFC Theatres LLC has agreed to pay $200,000 to settle a class action lawsuit for allegedly failing to disclose service fees for electronic tickets purchased through its website, in violation of New York Arts and Cultural Affairs Law.
Who can claim a payout?
The settlement class includes all individuals who paid a service fee to purchase electronic tickets through the IFC Center website from August 29, 2022, to May 3, 2024.
Class members are eligible to receive a pro rata share of the settlement fund, which will be based on the total amount of service fees they paid.
How much are the payouts?
Class members will receive a pro rata share of the $200,000 settlement fund. The exact amount each member will receive depends on the total number of valid claims submitted and the total service fees paid by each claimant.
For example, if the total service fees paid by all claimants amount to $100,000, and a claimant paid $500 in service fees, their share would be calculated as follows: Claimant's share = ($500 / $100,000) \* $200,000 = $1,000
The final amount will be determined after all claims have been processed.

To claim an award, class members must complete and submit a claim form by June 26, 2025. Claims can be submitted online through the online claim form or by mailing a completed PDF claim form to the settlement administrator.
