Home Depot U.S.A. Inc. has agreed to pay $4,950,000 to settle a class action lawsuit for allegedly deceptively advertising various discounts on its products on its websites Blinds.com, JustBlinds.com, and AmericanBlinds.com.

Who Can Claim an Award?

Under the terms of the Settlement, each of the approximately 310,000 Settlement Class Members will receive a settlement benefit in either cash or store credit.

What Awards Can Class Members Claim?

Class Members can choose between a $50 Cash Benefit or a $50 Credit Benefit. The actual amount received could be higher or lower depending on claims rates, notice and administration expenses, and the amount of attorneys’ fees, costs, and incentive payments that the Court approves.

• Cash Benefit: Expected to be $50, but subject to adjustments based on various factors
• Credit Benefit: $50 credit valid for three years after distribution and can be used towards any one purchase on Blinds.com, JustBlinds.com, or AmericanBlinds.com

How to Claim Your Award

To claim your award, you must submit a valid Claim Form by August 15, 2024. You can file a claim online.

Alternatively, you can submit a Claim Form by mail if postmarked by August 15, 2024.

How do I Get Paid?

Payment options include Prepaid Mastercard, PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, or a physical check mailed to the address provided in your claim form.

$4,950,000 Settlement Fund

The total settlement amount is $4.95 million. This fund will be used to make payments to Settlement Class Members who elect to receive a Cash Benefit. It will also cover notice and administration costs estimated to be $54,000, incentive awards of up to $2,500 to each of the Class Representatives, reasonable attorneys’ fees of up to $3.5 million, and reasonable expenses incurred in litigating this case.
