DX Enterprises, Inc. has agreed to pay $1,519,796.84 to settle a class action lawsuit for alleged violations of the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA). The lawsuit claims that the company collected biometric data without permission, failed to maintain a publicly available retention schedule, and disclosed data without consent.

Who is eligible to receive a payment?

The settlement includes all employees who used DX Enterprises' biometric timekeeping system in Illinois during the class period. There are an estimated 586 class members. Additionally, there is a subclass of 86 members who were rehired by the company at least once.
