
If you reside in the United States or its territories and received a notification from SSM Health/Navvis regarding a July 2023 data breach, you may qualify to submit a claim for up to $7,000 from a class action settlement. Navvis & Company, LLC has agreed to pay $6.5 million to settle a class action lawsuit alleging that unauthorized individuals accessed Navvis' network between July 12 and July 25, 2023.
During this incident, attackers deployed ransomware and gained unauthorized access to sensitive personal information belonging to approximately 2.8 million current and former SSM Health patients.
Who can file a data breach claim?
Class members must meet the following criteria:
- You reside in the United States or its territories and your private information was compromised in the Navvis/SSM Health data breach incident between July 12 and July 25, 2023.
- You received an official notification from Navvis about this incident between September 22, 2023, and June 6, 2024.
How much is the class action settlement payout?
Class members can submit for one or more of the following benefit options:
- Documented Out-of-Pocket Expenses: You can claim up to $2,000 in documented expenses directly related to the breach. Eligible expenses include:
- Unreimbursed bank or credit card fees
- Postage and gasoline for local travel
- Credit monitoring or identity theft monitoring services paid for between July 12, 2023, and June 6, 2024
- Documented Extraordinary Losses: Class members can submit for up to $5,000 in documented, unreimbursed financial losses resulting from misuse or fraud traceable to the cybersecurity incident. These losses must have occurred between July 12, 2023, and April 14, 2025.
- Credit Monitoring Services: You can select to receive can two additional years of three-bureau credit monitoring.
- Pro Rata Cash Payment: Claimants can submit for a cash payment of up to $150. Payment amount will be determined by the number and type of claims submitted.
How to claim a data breach settlement payment
To claim a class action rebate, class members must submit a claim form. You can file a claim online or download and print the PDF claim form and mail it to the settlement administrator.
