Concord has agreed to pay a settlement to resolve a class action lawsuit alleging that the company failed to adequately protect customer data, resulting in a cybersecurity breach disclosed around February 1, 2024.
Who is eligible for a data breach payout?
You qualify to submit a claim if you received notice from Concord Music Group, Inc. that your personal information was potentially compromised in the cybersecurity incident disclosed around February 1, 2024.
How much is the class action settlement payment?
Class members can claim one or more of these benefits:
- Credit Monitoring Services: Three years of three-bureau credit monitoring with identity theft protection services and $1 million identity theft insurance.
- Ordinary Losses: You can claim up to $700 in reimbursement for documented out-of-pocket expenses incurred due to the cybersecurity incident. Eligible expenses include bank fees, fees paid for credit reports, credit monitoring, or identity theft insurance purchased between November 14, 2022, and March 5, 2025.
- Extraordinary Losses: Class members can submit for up to $7,500 in reimbursement for documented financial losses traceable to the data breach. This includes professional fees such as attorneys' fees, accountants' fees, and credit repair services incurred due to identity theft or fraudulent charges incurred.
- Lost Time: Claimants can submit for time spent addressing issues related to the data incident at a rate of $20 per hour for up to five hours, a total of $100.
- Cash Payment: You may submit to receive a cash payment of $70.
How to claim a data breach class action rebate
To receive a settlement payout, class members must submit a claim by the deadline of July 3, 2025. You can file a claim online or download a PDF claim form to print and mail to the settlement administrator.
