Olaplex, Inc., and Olaplex Holdings, Inc. have agreed to settle a class action lawsuit for alleged violations of California’s Consumer Legal Remedies Act, Made in USA Statute, Unfair Competition Law, and False Advertising Law by misrepresenting their products as 'Made in USA'.
Who can file an Olaplex claim?
- You must have purchased one or more Olaplex products between February 7, 2019, and September 6, 2024.
- The products must have included 'Made in USA' or similar language on the packaging.
How much is the false advertising class action payout?
Class Members are entitled to a $5 voucher for use on Olaplex’s website. This voucher can be combined with other offers (including sales and price reductions) but not with another promotional code. It is not redeemable for cash and expires 12 months after issuance.
How to claim an Olaplex voucher
To claim your voucher, complete the online claim form or download and mail the PDF claim form.pdf) to the settlement administrator. Claims must be postmarked or submitted online by May 12, 2025.

Is proof required to submit a "Made in USA" settlement claim?
No additional documentation is required, claimants can attest to their purchase without providing proof.

When is the Olaplex Made in USA Settlement payout date?
The court will hold a Final Approval Hearing on July 11, 2025, to determine if the settlement is fair.
Once the court grants approval, the vouchers will be distributed to eligible class members within 60 days after the final settlement date, anticipated to be around September 12, 2025.
Why is there a class action settlement?
The lawsuit was initiated due to allegations that Olaplex misrepresented their products as 'Made in USA'. To avoid the costs and risks of litigation or even a trial, Olaplex agreed to settle the claims without admitting any wrongdoing.
