If you provided your finger, hand, or palm scan for authentication and timekeeping purposes at ABT Electronics, Inc. at any time between January 29, 2014, through September 29, 2019, you may be eligible to claim approximately $598 from a class action settlement.

Can I Claim an Award?

To be eligible for an award, you must meet specific criteria. You must have worked for ABT Electronics, Inc. in Illinois and had your biometric information collected, captured, obtained, used, received, converted, maintained, stored, shared, disseminated, or disclosed by ABT Electronics, Inc. from January 29, 2014, through September 29, 2019. Additionally, you must not have previously executed a general release of claims in a severance or settlement agreement during that time period.

If you meet these criteria, you are considered a member of the Settlement Class and are eligible to receive a payment from the Settlement Fund unless you choose to exclude yourself from the Settlement.

What Awards Can Class Members Claim?

Class members are entitled to a gross payment of approximately $975 from the Settlement Fund. After deductions for settlement administration costs, attorneys' fees, and an incentive award to the Class Representative, the net payment is approximately $598.

The Settlement Fund totals $2,832,375. From this amount, attorneys' fees of up to 37.5% of the Settlement Fund, reasonable costs, and an incentive award to the Class Representative will be deducted. The remaining amount will be distributed to the Settlement Class Members.

How to Claim Your Award

To claim your award, you do not need to take any action if you are a member of the Settlement Class. The Settlement Administrator will issue a check to each Class Member following the final approval of the Settlement. If you prefer to receive a digital payment, you can log onto the Settlement Website and submit a Payment Selection form.

How do I Get Paid?

Class members will receive their payments via check or digital payment. Checks will be mailed to the address on file, and digital payments can be selected through the Settlement Website.
