
Consumers who purchased a ticket through the Gametime website or mobile app in California between April 18, 2018, and May 12, 2025, may be eligible to receive a credit voucher worth at least $5 from a class action settlement.
Gametime United Inc. agreed to pay $2.74 million to settle a class action lawsuit alleging it failed to adequately disclose ticket purchase fees to California consumers in violation of state law.
Who are the class members?
Class members are individuals who purchased tickets through the Gametime website or mobile phone application in California anytime after April 18, 2018, and on or before May 12, 2025.
Who is excluded from the class?
The settlement excludes the following Gametime users:
- Those who agreed to Gametime’s terms of service implemented in or after April 2023, and on or before May 12, 2025.
- Those who received full refunds, credits or chargebacks for their purchases during the class period.
- Those who intentionally activated Gametime’s all-in-pricing feature or enabled it for their transactions before their first Gametime purchase during the class period.
- Those who purchased tickets from Gametime at least once before their first purchase during the class period.
- Those who navigated to Gametime’s checkout page at least once before their first purchase during the class period.
What can class members get from the settlement?
Credit voucher: Eligible class members will receive a nontransferable voucher for 15% of the fees paid on their first qualifying purchase during the class period. All class members will receive a voucher for a minimum of $5. They can use the vouchers toward future ticket purchases on Gametime’s website or mobile apps. It will expire 60 months after the date of issue.
No claim form required
Class members do not need to submit claim to receive a voucher.
Payout options
The settlement administrator will email or mail credit vouchers to eligible class members.
Settlement fund breakdown
The $2,740,000 settlement fund will include:
- Settlement administration costs: Up to $125,000
- Attorneys' fees: Up to $625,000
- Attorneys' expenses: Up to $35,000
- Service award to class representative: Up to $10,000
- Payments to eligible class members: Remainder of the fund

- Final approval hearing: Sept. 9, 2026
When is the Gametime settlement payout date?
The settlement administrator will issue credit vouchers to eligible class members no later than 90 days after the court grants final approval of the settlement.
Why is there a class action settlement?
The class action lawsuit alleged Gametime United Inc. failed to adequately disclose ticket purchase fees, violating California’s Unfair Competition Law, False Advertising Law and Consumers Legal Remedies Act.
Gametime denied the allegations but agreed to settle to avoid the expense and risk of continued litigation and a possible trial.
