What Happened?
In July 2024, Vitruvian Health’s third-party collection agency, Nationwide Recovery Service (NRS), experienced a significant cybersecurity incident. The breach was discovered by NRS on July 11, 2024, and Vitruvian Health was notified on February 24, 2025, that patient information had been compromised. The breach affected 88,848 individuals in the United States, including 24 in Massachusetts and 3 in Maine.
According to the official disclosure, an unauthorized individual accessed NRS systems between July 5, 2024, and July 11, 2024, and removed data belonging to Vitruvian Health patients.
Written notices were sent to affected consumers on April 14, 2025.
