The October 2024 Data Breach

On October 3, 2024, HCF Management, Inc. discovered suspicious activity on its management company's computer network. An internal investigation revealed that an unauthorized third party accessed the systems on September 17, 2024, acquiring certain documents.

By November 19, 2024, it was confirmed that these documents contained sensitive information, including:

The breach was disclosed to the Massachusetts Attorney General's office on January 10, 2025 and subsequently to the Vermont AG's office on January 13.

To date, seven of the company's properties have filed data breach disclosures with state attorney's generals offices:

The disclosures confirm October claims made on Ransomhub that the company had fell victim to a ransomware attack.
