What Happened?

On December 14, 2024, Baruch College experienced a cybersecurity incident that resulted in unauthorized access to documents within its systems. The college launched an investigation and notified law enforcement. Despite these efforts, Baruch has not yet definitively determined which specific sensitive personal information was accessed by the unauthorized party.

Out of caution, Baruch notified all current and former students, faculty, and staff whose information was processed by the college.

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Driver’s license number or government-issued identification number
  • Credit or debit card number
  • Financial account number
  • Medical or health information
  • Information provided as part of disability services or counseling center services
