Your Rights and Next Steps

If your information was compromised in the AOD Federal Credit Union data breach, it's important to take immediate steps to protect yourself from potential identity theft or fraud. Here are several actions you can take:

  1. Enroll in Free Identity Protection Services: AOD Federal Credit Union is offering affected individuals complimentary membership to Experian IdentityWorks. This service monitors your credit reports and alerts you to suspicious activity.

  4. Monitor Your Accounts Closely: Regularly review your bank statements, credit card statements, and credit reports for unusual or unauthorized activity. Report any suspicious transactions immediately.
  5. Obtain Your Free Credit Reports: Under federal law, you can request a free credit report every 12 months from each of the three major credit bureaus at https://www.annualcreditreport.com. Review these reports carefully for accuracy.
