Why is there a class action settlement?
The lawsuit alleges that Toyota designed and sold vehicles with a defective heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning system (HVAC System). Plaintiffs claim that the HVAC Systems in the Subject Vehicles cause moisture accumulation, which leads to the emission of noxious and foul odors and possibly mold growth. Toyota denies all claims and allegations of wrongdoing but has agreed to the settlement to resolve the case.
