Sports Research Corporation has agreed to pay $1,600,000 to settle a class action lawsuit for alleged false, deceptive, and unlawful marketing of their Garcinia Cambogia product.

Who Can Claim an Award?

To be eligible for an award, you must have purchased Sports Research Garcinia Cambogia that was labeled with the words “weight management,” “appetite suppression,” and/or “appetite control” in the United States during the time period from April 26, 2015, to June 10, 2024. The purchase must have been for personal or household use and not for resale or distribution. Additionally, you must not have received a refund or returned the product.

Claim Amounts

• Initial Payment: $20 per valid claim, limited to one claim per household.
• Pro Rata Adjustment: If funds remain after all valid claims are paid, the remaining funds will be distributed proportionately among the claimants.

Class members who submit a timely and valid claim will receive $20 in cash from the Settlement Fund. This amount is limited to one claim per household, with the total amount payable per household not exceeding $20, unless distribution is increased.

If the amount of valid claims exceeds the Settlement Fund, cash payments to class members will be proportionately reduced until the funds are exhausted. Conversely, if the amount of valid claims does not exhaust the Settlement Fund, cash payments to class members will increase proportionately until the funds are exhausted.

Is Proof Required to Claim the Reward?

No, claimants do not need to proactively provide proof they are a class member. They can claim an award by attesting they are a class member.

How do I Get Paid?

Payments will be made from the Settlement Fund within thirty (30) days of the Effective Date of the Settlement to those who have submitted valid claims.
