If you purchased a concession at Climate Pledge Arena between February 27, 2023, and July 23, 2023, you may be eligible to claim a cash payment from a class action settlement.

Seattle Arena Company, LLC has agreed to pay $162,917.16 to settle a class action lawsuit for allegedly charging an undisclosed 3% fee on certain concessions.

Who can file a claim?

To be eligible for the settlement, you must meet the following criteria:

  • You purchased a concession at Climate Pledge Arena between February 27, 2023, and July 23, 2023.
  • You were assessed a 3% fee on your purchase.

Note that this fee was not charged at all events or on all concessions. It was primarily applied during concerts and not at Seattle Kraken games, for example.

Check the list of events to confirm if the fee was charged.

How much can class members get?

Class members who submit valid claims can receive a cash payment of $10.00, plus the actual 3% fee paid. If the 3% fee cannot be determined, an additional $1.00 will be awarded for each eligible transaction.

If the total claims exceed the settlement fund, payments will be adjusted on a pro-rata basis. For example, if the total claims amount to $200,000 but the fund is $162,917.16, each claim would be reduced proportionally.

What proof is needed to file a claim?

Claimants must provide details of their concession purchases, including:

  • Event attended
  • Date attended
  • Total transaction amount
  • Last 4 digits of the payment card used
