Individuals ages 40 and older who applied for a management trainee position with Enterprise Leasing Co. of Florida in Florida between Jan. 1, 2019, and Dec. 31, 2023, and whom the company did not hire may be eligible to claim a cash payment from an EEOC settlement.

Enterprise Leasing Co. of Florida LLC agreed to pay $1,800,000 to resolve a lawsuit brought by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission alleging age discrimination in hiring for management trainee positions.

Who can file a claim?

Individuals must meet the following criteria:

  • They applied for a management trainee position with Enterprise Leasing Co. of Florida in Florida between Jan. 1, 2019, and Dec. 31, 2023.
  • They were age 40 or older at the time of application.
  • Enterprise did not hire them for the position.

Who is excluded from the class?

  • Applicants whom Enterprise’s electronic iCIMS system automatically disqualified for not meeting minimum qualifications
  • Individuals Enterprise identified as having a “SSO” or “Background Ck -Eligibility Issue” in its applicant data spreadsheet

How much are the Enterprise settlement payments?

Pro rata cash payment: Eligible applicants can submit a claim to receive a pro rata cash payment. The EEOC will determine the final payment amount.

How to claim a payment

To claim a settlement payment, eligible individuals can submit a questionnaire online or complete and mail the questionnaire included with their notice to the settlement administrator.

Claimants must submit questionnaires online or postmark them no later than June 8, 2026.

Required claim information

  • Approved claimants will be required to complete a release of claims and W-9 to receive a settlement payment.

The $1,800,000 settlement fund will include:
