CallCore Media, Inc. has agreed to pay $2,000,000 to settle a class action lawsuit for alleged violations of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and the Texas Business and Commerce Code. This settlement aims to compensate individuals who received prerecorded voice calls from or on behalf of CallCore Media without their prior express written consent.

Who Benefits?: Individuals who received prerecorded voice calls from or on behalf of CallCore Media, as identified by CallCore’s records, are eligible for compensation.

How much can I get?: Each eligible claimant is expected to receive approximately $120, with an additional 10% for those who resided in Texas or had a Texas area code at the time the call was placed.

Can I Claim an Award?

To be eligible for an award, you must be a member of the class defined by the court. The court has certified two classes for settlement purposes: the TCPA Class and the Texas Class.

The TCPA Class includes individuals to whom calls were placed by or on behalf of CallCore, whose information was obtained from PHBC Marketing, LLC, and the calls were transferred to CallCore. The Texas Class includes individuals with Texas addresses and/or Texas area codes to whom calls were placed by or on behalf of CallCore, whose information was obtained from PHBC Marketing, LLC, and the calls were transferred to CallCore.

What Can I Receive?

If you submit a valid Claim Form, you are expected to receive approximately $120. If you resided in Texas or had a Texas area code at the time CallCore’s records reflect a call was placed to you, you will receive an additional 10%.

Defendant will pay $2,000,000 to cover Class Members’ claims, the cost of settlement administration, Class representative service awards, and Class Counsel’s attorneys’ fees and expenses. Each Class Member who submits a valid claim will receive a pro-rata share of the remaining amount after these costs are accounted for.

Is Proof Required to Claim the Reward?

Yes, proof is required to claim the reward. Class Members need only submit a valid Claim Form using their Claimant ID to receive their compensation.

Failing to make a claim will mean you will not receive compensation and will give up certain TCPA claims, Texas Business and Commerce Code claims, and claims concerning these calls against CallCore Media.
